Transferable Membership by Sale (Ordinary Member)

• Individuals admitted under this rule must pay the entrance fee and subscription as outlined in Rules 22 and 23.

• The Club will maintain a waitlist of members wishing to sell their memberships.

• Prospective buyers will purchase memberships directly from the Club at the fixed Entrance Fee of RM40,000 and a Development Fund of RM500+SST.

• The Club will match the buyer to the seller in sequence of the waitlist.

• Upon the successful election of the incoming member, the sale proceeds will be remitted to the seller, i.e. RM40,000 less the transfer fee and SST, and less any outstanding incidental charges.

• Sellers who have already identified and negotiated directly with a buyer may proceed without joining the waitlist. However, the transaction will still be processed at the fixed Entrance Fee of RM40,000 and a Development Fund of RM500+SST. The Management will no longer disburse any discount on behalf of the seller. 

• This administrative change is implemented to protect the value of The Sarawak Club membership while preserving the exclusivity and integrity of Club membership.

Transfer or Change on Death (Next of Kin Transfer)

• Exclusively for immediate family members.

• The deceased member’s membership is transferred to their legal representative, who may then transfer it to a new owner or beneficiary.

• Letter of Administration/Grant of Probate and a copy of signed NRIC of the administrator/executor is required.

Associate Children/Junior Member: RM20 + SST (Eligible for aged 7 to 21 years)

Transferable Membership by Senior Privileged (Transfer to Children, Siblings, Grandchildren & Spouse)

• Exclusively for immediate family members.

• Eligible for members aged 75 years or older, who have held 30 years of membership with SC.

• The transferor will become an associate member to the transferee.      

Transfer Fee: RM4,000 + SST

Monthly Fees:

Ordinary (Principal Member): RM100 + SST

Associate Spouse: RM20 + SST

Associate Parents: RM20 + SST

Associate Children/Junior Member: RM20 + SST (Eligible for aged 7 to 21 years)

Transferable Membership by Connected Person (Transfer to Children, Sibling to Sibling)

• Eligible for members wishing to transfer their membership BEFORE age 75, who have held membership for less than 30 years (minimum 5 years).

• The transferor WILL NOT become an associate member of the transferee.
  

Transfer Fee: RM4,000 + SST

Monthly Fees:

Ordinary (Principal Member): RM100 + SST

Associate Spouse: RM20 + SST

Associate Children/Junior Member: RM20 + SST (Eligible for aged 7 to 21 years)

Corporate Membership 

• Any company with a registered or branch office in Sarawak, or any company or organization approved by the Committee.

• Open for 3 representatives/nominees only.

Entrance Fee and Development Funds: RM108,540 (SST INCLUDED) 

Refundable Deposit (For Non-Sarawakian Nominees) : RM300 

Transfer Fee: RM10,000 + SST

Annual Corporate Representative Fee (Per year): RM3,000 + SST (per representative/nominee)

Change of Corporate Representative/Nominee Fee: RM1,000 + SST

Monthly Fees for each Representative/Nominee:

Ordinary (Principal Member): RM100 + SST

Associate Spouse: RM20 + SST

Associate Children/Junior Member: RM20 + SST (Eligible for aged 7 to 21 years)

Term Membership

• Only eligible for foreigners and non-Sarawakian citizens.

• Not transferable or assignable. Valid for 1 year only.

License Fee: RM5,000 + SST

Security Refundable Deposit RM3,000

Processing Fee: RM300 + SST

Annual Extension Fee: RM5,000 + SST

Visiting Member

• Ordinary Members may sponsor a non-Kuching resident for a short-term visit.

• The visitor, along with their spouse and children under 21, may be included in the application.

• Allowed to visit 2 times in 1 year, valid for 30 days (1 month) – T&C apply.

Monthly Subscription: RM300 + SST (Per visit)

Reciprocal Visit

• Eligible only for club members.

• Please contact the club for an introduction letter or click HERE link to apply. 

NO SIGNING FACILITIES.

All transactions must be settled via Credit card/Debit card/Cash, prior to the departure of the visiting member. The Club of the visiting member is not responsible for any unpaid bills.
